Bay of Plenty
The Mana-ay family have lived in New Zealand for 9 years working and contributing positively to the community.
Dennis has worked advocating and supporting people as a community support worker for those with mental health and CEP.
His beautiful wife has raised their young daughters and worked with special needs children when able.
Their residency has been declined on appeal- based on their New Zealand born daughters disabilty despite the fact they have never received a cent in support from the New Zealand government.
Despite the trials they have faced they have continued to view New Zealand as their home.
Both children have been raised in New Zealand and have never visited the Phillipines.
The Mana-ay family are required to leave New Zealand in June.
They have been left without savings as their surplus income has always been spent satisfying the requirements of immigration and the appeals process
I am involved as I have been close friends with this family as well as working with them both in a professional setting.
They are unable to complete this process themselves and it is the least I can do for a family I admire and will miss very much.
To purchase airfares to return to the Phillipines.
To resettle in the Phillipines, obtain accommodation and household items and provide financial support while they find work.
Thankyou again for your generosity 11 March 2017
We have reached $5000 !!! This is about half of the money we hope to raise via give a little.
We would love to hear from people who would like to help with fundraisers in the community or would like to help arrange a kiwi/fillipino fundraising dinner in Tauranga.
